Wonder why the weekends are so much harder to stick with it?

Cereal. ( remembered my slimfast at the shop today thank goodness!)
    Chicken and watercress sandwich. Yoghurt.
    Liver, mashed root vegetables. Cabbage.

I dreamt about bread last night. Elijah was a bugger and woke up at 1.30....hardly went back to sleep, every time I drifted off I ate a dream sandwich! He'd wake me up with a poke in the eye, back to sleep, eat another sandwich.....I woke up so depressed that I had been such a glutton, then was thrilled to know that hoorah! Dream sandwiches are the BEST, calorie free!!! Hope I dream about cake tonight.

    nearly another week gone.

So, here we are at friday, well into the swing and good feelings of being good to myself.

1 slice toast, banana ( darn it, ran out of slimfast and forgot again to restock)

    Marmite and watercress sandwich.

Chicken enchiladas, almost cheeseless, just the tiniest sprinkle on top. Salad.

So, 2 weeks in, what's changed? Jeans no longer cut into my belly when I sit down. Sleeping better ( is that coincidence, last night was asleep by 10.30!!!!) No longer desperate to sleep in the day. Hoorah!
After 2 weeks, I don't feel at all as though this is a struggle anymore. Bread still calls my name but I can ignore it, BAD bread!! Also crisps ( chips) I miss the salty heaven that is crisps.

    another good one.

Grilled chicken salad sandwich brown bread( occured to me that in the states is grilled actually fried?? Here it means cooked under a flame, dry, so no fat!)
Spaghetti and meatballs ( lean ground beef) palm sized portion of pasta.

After lunch, before dinner I got super hungry so had a small bowl of the tuna pasta left over from yesterday's lunch.

    That might help!

I had a DRs appt today, seems the 'panic attacks' I have been having may not be panic attacks, my blood pressure is very high and the breathlessness and chest pains, well that may be part of the high blood pressure. Well, if THAT doesn't keep me on the straight and narrow, nothing will.

    Tuna/ pasta salad
Chicken, small baked potato and asparagus.

I am cutting back on portion sizes. It hurts a bit, I'm not hungry but just feel like I haven't finished, when I have! The doctor said about portion sizes today, one suggestion is that you never eat more than a palm size portion, no meat bigger than the palm of your hand, no carbs bigger than the size of your palm. That really doesn't look a whole lot on a plate! I am determined to stick with it though.

Hardly noticed being on a 'diet' today. Does that mean I'm not sticking to it or that it is just getting easier?

Ryvita and low fat dairylea. ( cheese spread)
H cooked dinner, beef hoi sin or something, with white rice, H is SUCH a stinge with his portions, if I let him dish my food up I would be a twig in 2 months!!
    Delicious yoghurt and raspberries.

Didn't walk today, have been very bad tempered, not because of ME you understand. H has driven me insane today and even then I DID NOT ANGER EAT! Yeay me.

    Great day, getting easier.

Slimfast ( this really seems to be the key to being able to stick with it all day, for me this is the ONLY way to start the day and be successful)

Prawns, tomatoes, 1 slice bread and butter. ( make own sauce, low fat mayo, ketchup, lemon juice and splash worcester sauce)

    Chicken curry and rice.
Low fat yoghurt. Jelly made with pureed fruit/smoothie. DELICIOUS! make sugar free jelly with smoothies, really REALLY tasty. Dissolve jelly crystals in 1/4 pint boiling water, make up to 1 pint with smoothie, set in fridge.

Really trying to remember to drink more water.

NOt quite making set exercise a daily thing yet but am walking more, leaving the car at home, walking into town. Parking away from school and walking to get the boys ( will leave the car at home when it isn't RAINING!)

    Liquorice. Mmmmm.

    Ryvita and marmite.
    Goji berry flapjack.
Turkey rashers, poached eggs ( 2) beaked beans, 1 slice bread.

Liquorice chunks, delicious and low in fat, when you need to eat some sweets, this is better than chocolate.
The health food store had a half price sale today, I stocked up on good seeds to snack on and some goji berry flapjacks, so delicious, filling and goji berries are said to have many great health benefits. ( and aid weight loss) I am going to pick some more up tomorrow and maybe come up with some recipes of my own, even mix them in with oatmeal for breakfast. They aid the feel good factor, can't get enough of that if you ask me!

    Back on the wagon again.

Yeay!! Back on the happy trail.

    Ryvita and marmite.
Chicken, brussel sprouts, carrots, new boiled potatoes.

Rice crispies and semi skimmed milk.

Chicken salad, home made potato salad ( light mayo, new potatoes)
H's home made spaghetti and meatballs.

    Fruit flapjack. 4 Ryvita.
